All these were taken in my garden today. It's a good day. Heuchera (coral bells) have become my go-to-plant-to-visit at any garden nursery. They come in such great colors, textures, sheen, leaf shape, size, and work in a garden bed or planters. There is nothing a good heuchera cannot do.
OK. That DOES it! I've been on a heuchera kick all day long! I only have a couple of variety but have been grieving the loss of one of two golden ones this year. I'm SO "tight" when it comes to buying plants, but after a stroll at our local Extension Gardens & now this post, I'm going to spring for at least a couple of new ones!

Thanks Rebecca. I'm about the cheapest person you'll ever meet when it comes to plants. I think huechera are a great value because they are perennials. It kills me to spend good money on annuals - it's almost like throwing it away. The heuchera last for years and are teh fist thing popping up in the spring - last to go in the fall - if they go at all! usually they're still going strong and get covered in snow. I gave them their own bed so I can appreciate the different varieties.
